The human imagination seems to have no bounds. We think it, we make it, eventually. Jon Bannenberg invented the modern yacht design, which has remained the blueprint for over thirty years.
Designer George Lucan has had a vision of a new design, based on origami. He hs called it MY Fata Morgana – a yacht for the climate change

The Explorer Super Yacht Concept – Fata Morgana – is a superyacht vision of change in the oceans.
She is a 70 m explorer superyacht specially designed for arctic areas, including the Northwest Passage.
The bow resembles a rock formation semi-covered in snow, and the stern of the yacht is designed with a glass iceberg feature. From a distance, it resembles an island.

The yacht has a glass structure that allows incredible unobstructed views of the sky and of the surroundings from the main saloon and the VIP suites.
The superyacht has a 7,000 km range and can also navigate being kite assisted for smooth long-distance travel.

It is a fantastic vision of a future superyacht. Will it ever be built? Probably not. But it has been imagined and that will do for now. Check back in fifty years time
